Specialty Services - Physical Rehabilitation Services
Physical rehabilitation is a proven modality for improving patient outcomes after surgery, elevating athletic performance, and most importantly, enhancing quality of the life for pets, athletic animals, and clients. The clinicians and technicians of the Physical Rehabilitation Service are part of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital team dedicated to provide exceptional care for your pet. Our service is co-directed by faculty members of the neurology/neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery services. The care of your pet is provided by a team of registered veterinary technicians to ensure quality patient care, coordination of service responsibilities and efficient client communication. We have a full-service rehabilitation center which includes an underwater treadmill allowing us to provide comprehensive in-patient, out-patient, and training procedures. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art techniques for physical rehabilitation in order to maximize your pet’s recovery process and well being.
