Research emphasis:

My research areas include joint replacement (elbow and hip), cartilage dynamics (osteochondrosis, joint resurfacing, culturing), drug testing for effects of new osteoarthritis medication, meniscal grafting, clinical evaluation of surgical techniques, and development of migratory bird tracking techniques. Most of my research is conducted through the Comparative Orthopaedic Laboratory.
