Research emphasis:

Research activities have centered on infectious and immune mediated disease, airway disease, including cystic fibrosis, and diabetic mellitus. Current projects include investigation of Cytauxzoan felis infection.

Teaching:

Dr. Cohn teaches in both didactic medicine courses within the UMC-CVM curriculum (UMC-VMS 6040 & 6050) as well as the clinical block rotation of Internal Medicine (UMC-VMS 6410). Additional lectures are delivered in several other courses within the professional curriculum and in undergraduate courses UMC-VP230 and UMC-AS200.  Other teaching duties include graduate courses in Clinical Veterinary Endocrinology (UMC - VMS8 411) and Clinical Veterinary Immunology (UMC - VMS 8435), as well as Journal Club and conferences for house staff.  Dr. Cohn has also served as visiting professor at St. George University College of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.
